Unused Fields in Dsv

I've ran BIDS helper on the dsv of my cube, and have found a number of unused fields.

Is there any performance gain in SSAS to be had by removing them? I've had a look on the web, but not found anything concrete either way.

Any links to any white papers if poss would be much appreciated

the DSV is what determines your select statement when you process an object. Just as with optimizing any select statement you should include only the columns you need.
