Hello everyone,

Im in the middle of Xfree86's video card setup but my card is unsupported. Ive gone to their site and the only solutions there is to either wirte my own driver :O or wait for the next release of xfree86. Would anyone know a way around this? Is their a way to just go with a generic svga card?

and what's its type/etc... give us some description

Hi,

Looks to me like you need the 'trident' driver. If the setup tool (e.g. Xconfigurator) doesn't detect it you can just manually edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and try it out.

(I'm assuming XFree86 version 4.x.x here)

Regards
