We have a windows client,X, schedule backup every night. Now we got a X failed everyday. Here is the message:
*X: c:\Files 1 retry attemped
*X: c:\Files User root on host Server1a.com cannot request command execution
*X: c:\Files 10/21/05 00:05:02: nsrexec: User root on host Server1a.com cannot request command execution
*X: c:\Files Permission denied

Anybody knows how to fix this problem.

Looks like the backupserver does not have permission to backup client X. I would check the ..\nsr\res\servers file on the client and make sure it contains all possible names for the backupserver on seperate lines. If you edit it, remember to restart NetWorker on teh client after the change. Also, make sure that all names for the backupserver can be resolved from the client, i.e if you´re using DNS then use nslookup to check both the short and FQDN name of the backup server. If you´re using hosts files make sure they have correct entries.

Cheers!
Maverick
