Unsuccessful CCM 4.0 Installation

I received the following in my log files while installing CCM 4.0 on an hp proliant dl380:

Action 12:54:43: MSICheckForDCDFailure.
07/27/2005 12:54:44.906(W) -->MSICheckForDCDFailure()
07/27/2005 12:54:44.937(W) Opened registry key
07/27/2005 12:54:44.937(W) Failed to retrieve ConfigStatus string from registry
07/27/2005 12:54:44.937(W) Cisco Directory install failed
07/27/2005 12:54:44.937(W) Notifying user of failure

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem for this?

Some basic questions...you installed the OS from the Cisco-provided CD's, right?

You provided the correct DC Admin password to the setup program? All the passwords - local Admin, DCD, Private password phrase - those entered were the correct ones (I've been the victim of entering bad passwords during an install, that's why I ask)?

Are you trying to install a publisher or a subscriber?

Just throwing things out off the top of my head...
