I keep being sent e mails, from someone I have no knowledge of, each time trying to get me interested in collecting up to 20 million dollars. I keep sending them to my list of blocked senders, but each time they come back from a different address. Is there any other way to put a stop to this junk. I've mailed my ISP, but no response.

See if the spammer is using at least the same domain name in their mail address. Then just add just the domain name to the block senders list is what I do since the user name keeps changing. joegz

You can also create a rule in outlook to have any email from this sender (or senders) to permanently delete any email from this sender(s) so you don't even see the email coming.

The best approach to this is to:

(1) Create a Personal Distribution list in your outlook.
(2) (Make sure the properties of this distribution list
is checked to display the outlook address book -
from properties there is an "outlook address
book tab". Checkmark "show this folder as an
outlook address book"). This way when you create
the rule you can click on "people or distribution list
and the distribution list you create will be there
in view"
(3) Open up this distribution list and create the email
addresses you want to permanently delete mail from
(4) From your outlook client create the rule
(1) Tools==>Rules Wizard
(2) Click on "New"
(3) Highlight "Check messages when they arrive" and
click "Next"
(4) At top of screen check "From people or distribution
list"
(5) At bottom of screen click your mouse on,
"People or Distribution List". This will open
the Global Address List. You want to click
the down arrow and choose the "distribution list"
you created.
(6) On the left hand side of the screen you will see
the email recipients from your distribution list.
Highlight each and click the "From" which will move
the email recipient over to the right.
(7) click "ok". You will see at this screen that the
rule will apply to users in your distribution list
(8) Click "Next"
(9) At top of screen checkmark "Permanently Delete it"
and reply "yes" to the message that appears.
(10) Click "next"
(11) Next screen will ask if you want to add any
exceptions. You do not need to add any exceptions
you can either click "Next" or "Finish".
(12) Once you click "Finish" the rule is created.

* this works great for me. I got the similar type of spam and added them to my june senders list and still received mail. I found the best method was to create a rule. Unfortunatly, if you have several of these, each new sender you have to open up your distribution list, create the new sender, and then you have to modify the rule to include this sender.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks joegz,
Zoethecat, Can all that be done in Outlook Express ?

Sorry, I thought you were using outlook 2000. No, this can't be done from Outlook Express. This is a feature of outlook2000. I'm sure there is another method of doing this in outlook express but I'm not sure.
