unsafe expressions in access

Hello All
I have database that I have been running just fine, until one day I click no to "Do you want to allow the evaluation of potentially unsafe expressions. Then I cannot see a drop down list. I went and changed the security level to low restarted Access and it aske me if I wanted to black unsafe expressions this time I said no. But the list is still blank. Any ideas???

To prevent this from happening again -

Goto Tools, Macro ,Security and set the security level to Low

Hello All:
Thank you for your input. The problem was the office SP3 update, MS has a hotfix for it "KB945674". If you don't run the patches you have problems if you do ???? Thanks again
