Maybe its me...
I have a BCM50 Rls 3.0 patched up to SU September 2008.
The BCM50 has four onboard analogue extensions enabled by licence, which work fine however; if we patch-in either DECT cordless sets (ie: the BT Diverse 6100 series) OR an analogue door phone (for example only: North Supply Pantel) the onboard extension ports behave as follows:
*BT Diverse 6100 DECT sets:
>When going off-hook the caller hears a brief burst of dial tone followed by approx. 3 secs silence, then the dial tone re-establishes itself, the call now can be dialled and progressed.
>When answering a call at the BT Diverse DECT set, the user cannot hear the caller for approx. 3 secs. following going off hook.
If we use a test-but or another brand, say Panasonic DECT, the ports do not present these problems. The BT Diverse also works fine on standard analogue ports or ATAs.
The DECT sets are configured for TBR with Tone Dialling.
(Unfortunately for me the Diverse are regularly spec'd by the Clients as good reliable DECT sets in the UK and commonly sold as part of a solution - hmm).
*Door Entry/ Phone
(This is a "standard analogue device" not a Nortel Door-Phone)
>Visitor presses speed dial key on door phone, then the analogue port returns whistling feed back or Music-on-Hold down the analogue port.
If we remove the Door Phone and listen with the test-set the errors are still audible.
A system re-boot clears the fault as does using an ATA, but we lose a valuable digital port if we do that.
Anybody?
