Please help.
I reinstalled Windows XP por on my machine, but now my slave drive wouldn't show up. I checked the Disk Management, and I got "dynamic unreadable". I doubled check that the system ID is correct for this particular partion/disk, 0x42, but I just couldn't figure out how to recover the disk. I have a 40GB backup on this disk, will I be able to recover it use some third party utility if the Operating System is indeed no going to see it? I'd tried GetDataBack from Runtime Software, but the result has been unreliable, and it costs $80 to copy recovered data to a different location. It seems I could try to open the data on the spot, but it'd been hanging my system twice in a row. It would be best if you know any utility that is free of charge or at least not costs too much.
I'll truely appreciate any suggestions and help.
