I wonder if anyone has seen this before. I have a user who has moved an unread mail from his own mailbox to another he has permissions to in Outlook 98. Now though, the folder he has moved it to is showing in the folder list as having one unread message, however, if you view that folder, there is no unread message (let alone the one he moved). In the bottom left corner, it says 3 items, 1 unread.
This isn't happening for just himself as other colleagues have access to the mailbox and they too have the same problem. Also, the mail has been removed from his own inbox where it originated from.
