Unread Count in Folder Hierarchy

Is there a way to show the unread mail count as part of the folder hierarchy (the left side of the mail view). I've got rules setup to sort mail into various folders. When new mail comes in, there doesn't seem to be a way to determine which folder contains that new mail without actually clicking into each folder. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I find this frustrating too.
The only wat around it as far as I know is to use the 'Scan Unread' feature from the edit menu or the icon at the bottom right hand corner.
