Can you tell us what is the exact wording of any error message you get when you try to load windows?

Have you tried loading it in Safe Mode?

While in Safe Mode have you tried the "Last known good configuration" option?

An easy to follow recovery console description when unable to start computer due to corrupt registry.

I've had this problem before where XP has crashed and unmounted itself.

To resolve this you need to boot off the XP CD, launch the console.

Then there's a command to remount.

Been here for a long time using XP.
PLEASE WHAT ARE U PPL TALKING ABOUT WHEN U USE THE WORD UNMOUNTED. That term is associated to using a COMPRESSED HD.

So what do u mean UNMOUNTED!!

Guess im old fashioned, but the CORRECT TERMS should be used here... and kewl is on cool. OK

Well S0121, XP describes either Windows, or the drive, or something as being unmounted.

So, Windows is using the incorrect terminology then? P-)

actually that means "not properly installed or REMOVED"

so im out of the guessing game... CUA Frank Smith
