unloading a DLL

I have an ISAPI DLL that gets data from an Access DB. Everything works great except that I need to compact the mdb file periodically. I cannot compact the file without restarting IIS to break the lock on the mdb file. Does anyone know a way to unload the DLL or unlock the mdb file?
