How do I unlink linked text? They were linked by shortening the shades of a text block until the red down arrow appears. After this occurs, clicking on the red down arrow allows the unseen text to be placed elsewhere.

How can I unlink/undo this linked text?

Delete the text in the Story Editor (Ctrl+E in Windows)

Thanks BigJohnD, but the linked text is A LOT of text. Deleting that text would require a complete rewrite which is not the best use of my time...or interest. I should have been more clear up front. I need a way to unlinked linked text in the event I need to add a page or two in the middle of the linked text and then relink it with the previously deleted link.

My attempt at an illustration.

Text 1 Linked to Text 2 Linked to Text 3 Linked to Text 4.

I want to UNLINK Text 2 to Text 3 and LINK Text 2 to Text 4 and then RELINK text 4 to Text 3.

Am I making sense?

First of all "linked" usually means the text is linked to text or WP file. I think you mean threaded.

I don't know how much that is - 4 pages or 400?

Cut and re-paste the text where you want it, in layout mode, starting at the end of the text ( to minimise re-flow). Use the Paste board as working space. when all the text is re-sorted, move the text boxes back on to the pages.

If the text boxes are really huge, too big for the paste board, then use Edit mode. You can have several Edit windows open at once instead.

Linked" - Well, the "linked" text IS "linked" to other text so I think I used it ("linked") correctly. I didn't use threaded because every reference to "threaded text" didn't/doesn't coincide with how my text is...well...linked.

By "A LOT" I mean 5-10 pages.

Thanks for the remaining info.

What does "Iechyd da" and "Glannay Mersi, Lloegr" mean?
