Unlinking External Table Data

In a Qxp 6.52 doc I have tables that began as linked files to Excel worksheets. As the tables were subsequently updated within Quark--not within the worksheets--and the original worksheets are now deleted, Quark complains about missing tables when collecting for printer. I can live with this. However, Quark is now unable to create a PDF file from this document. I think it's because of the tables. To check my theory I would like to UNLINK the tables from the external data but can't find any information about how to do that.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I was looking for something similar.

I converted the table to a group. (Table>Convert
Table>To Group) It unlinked the Excel data, but it's not a table anymore, just a group of text boxes.
