InDesign cs has such awesome display control when the image is linked, but when unlinked seems to have worse than what we had in Quark. (example: Illustrator file that has a wavy edge looks great when linked, and actually becomes straight edged when unlinked)
I’m sure your wondering why in the world I need to have images decently viewed when not linked. It’s a bit complicated, but let’s just say I do need this feature and it’s not something I will be able to explain without going on and on.
Would anyone have any info on this display conundrum?
Could it be I’m missing a setting? Or I need to save my artwork out differently? (I’m trying these very things with no luck so far)
Your advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
Rosie
p.s. embedding the artwork is also not an option in our workflow, due to the number of files and the fact we need to have the artwork update on all files when we make changes.
