I have a page that uploads files to the server, on the 100Mbit LAN this is fine but when outside contractors try to upload the schematics via 56k modem/64k ISDN the page is timing out.

I need to find a way to increase the maximum timeout of a page above and beyond the ordinary.

If any one out there has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks

Set Server.ScriptTimeout to some obscene amount

eg:
Server.ScriptTimeout = 9999
'times out in 9999 seconds

be careful, though, because i think that there is an upper limit on the timeout... i'm not sure what it is though.

hope this helps

I have set a page to a timeout of 10000 before (166 minutes) and it ran and ran and ran without any problems well beyond the normal timeout so I know 10k is ok (and if it takes longer than 2.5 hours to execute a page, it's time to rethink it's web usefulness) ;-)
