Ok, this is the scenario:

We had an Admin bring up a Netware 4.11 server without the Autoexec.NCF (SERVER -NA)

When he was prompted, he entered a name different than the actual server name ie SMITH.

When the server was rebooted, the autoexec.ncf was used and the original server name was used ie OFFICE

Now in network neighborhood, when you browse all Netware file servers, the Server SMITH in addition to the server OFFICE appear. Both having the same internal IPX address.

I have checked the other servers that hold replicas on them and SMITH does not appear. Please note that this server does hold a R/W replica.

I also ran dsrepair, but did not repair the database, but checked "Servers know to this database" and SMITH is not listed.

I have been searching the Novell Support Connection Web Site and am having a difficult time locating Network Neighborhood showing an Unknown server object using the same Internal IPX addr.

Any help would be great...and thanks in advance..

Mark C. I will be achieving my CNE 5 in the near future, hopefully before Novell's CCR deadline. I also have my Bachelors
Problem resolved: Ran DSREPAIR on the local replica on that server and found a Server Bindery Object which was removed during the repair process.

Mark C.
