i have used previous verison of redhat (=<7.3) to build rpm i use the -b option but with redhat 8.0 it say that unknown option -b, but with man rpm i can read theat there is the option -b.
what to do to build my rpms ?

I don't want to paste the entire output of '
Code:
man rpm
' , so instead, open the man page for rpm and type:
Code:
/BUILD<hit the enter key>
That searches for (and will take you right to) the section on building packages with rpm. You probably wanted "
Code:
rpm -ba
, which would make binary and source packages (the 'do it all' option).

Haneo,

As of Red Hat 8.0, they moved RPM building functions to a separate program called "rpmbuild".

The parameters are the same, so if you used to use, for example "rpm -bb pkg.spec", it'll now be "rpmbuild -bb pkg.spec".
