Unknown Number Mer Mail RLS 13

Anyone know why when a message is left in a mailbox it does not give the caller information. It says you have a message from an UNKNOWN NUMBER. If I'm by a phone you can see the callers number so why wouldn't the voicemail pick it up?

You need to change your Voice Security Option
BLOCK DISPLAYOF EXTERNAL CLID to NO

It is set to NO.
If I answer the call the correct number shows on the phone but if I let it go to voice mail I loose it.

Ok this did the trick sort of, the only thing is if someone calls form Long distance it includes the 1 in front of area code and number.

Main Menu >> General Administration >> Dialing Translations >> Dialing Translation Defaults >> Capture CLID with Unknown Format (Set to YES)

perry for some reason it did say the 1 + area code + number, oh well at least they get the nnumber now. thanks for the help
