Hi guys,

I have a file on my SBS 2003 server that is growing at about 10kb per second, thing is I have no idea what it relates to, I thought maybe you clever people would!?

Ok its called Alert1.log and the repeated message inside the log is just the following:

DataProcess.BatchPreprocess caused an error type 52. You are advised to report this error.

I have searched Google and nothing. All the usual services are functioning fine and I have not noticed any issues anywhere.

Any ideas, any help appreciated?

Yes indeed, turns out it was the TIM.exe process which is call monitoring software for Avaya IP office.

Thanks for the tip...having a slow day!

Glad you found it..nice to have the phone system complicate your IT life. Just wait till the refrigerator and coffee maker are hooked into our systems <grin>.
