Unknown Error in MM

Hello all, Glad to find this forum. I am very new to Miva Merchant and I have been searching and searching for days to find some help with an error issue. I have emailed Miva several times (no answers) and last autoresponse I recieved politely told me that now you have to pay for support...uggg
Anyway, here is the error I am recieving when you click to 'continue' the payment process.

Fatal Error

Miva Merchant has encountered a fatal error and is unable to continue. The following information may assist you in determining the cause of the error:

Error Code: MER-MER-00004
Description: Unknown Error

Action = SHIP,CTAX
Screen = OPAY

Has anyone encountered this problem or have any idea what causes it and how to fix it ????!!!! My entire business is on hold until this is resolved..
