the computer was lagging, so when i went to turn it off, during the shutdown procedure a error box popped up only for a few seconds that read "your not supposed to see me " and dissappeared, i have ran avg antivirus and mcaffee antivirus and to no avial, i have found nothing, i was wondering if anyone knew about this

Get Ad-aware and SpyBot and check for spyware. If all else fails, get HiJackThis and post its log here.

There's no place like 127.0.0.1.

thank you, I had ad-aware during this problem, but only the personal version, i purchased spy sweeper, the spy ware database was 3 times larger than ad-aware,to be expected, ad-aware was a free version, this did the trick and the error box hasnt shown up yet, thank you again

The "Should not see me" message is not malware related. I've seen it a couple of times, usually on video driver updates (it always appears when the next time the system is shutting down).
To my knowledge it is contained within Windows code and is not somethint to worry about.
You shouldn't see it again, tho the title of it implies that a programmer wasn't doing his job correctly or it was a custom message that wasn't updated for general release.

thankx, it is a releif to know where this error box comes from, thank you again,
