i am receiving email attachments with .unk extensions that i cannot open from lotus notes. i have tried using fentun for win95 but this solution did not work. can anyone please advise?
Are these all coming from the same sender? Find out what kind of file they are from the sender(s). Assuming you have the software to access the files you may need to recreate that file association. It's pretty easy to do.
I have seen also where people send files with no extension or multiple "dots", This can also cause problems if you don't know what the file is.
A virus can also use .unk to hide the fact that it's an executable.
