I have 2 Unixware systems. A telnet from "A" to "B" works OK. A telnet from "B" to "A" fails after 5 seconds with "login:telnetd: Unable to invoke login scheme.". I can't find any UnixWare parm for this timeout value. Any ideas? (a telnet by "B" to itself works OK).

Thanks.

when you telnet from "B" to "B" what address are you using

The server IP or the loopback address 127.0.0.1

telnet from "B" to "B" works with both the server IP and the loopback address 127.0.0.1

Additional info:
"rlogin -l username host" works OK.
"A" and "B" are dual-boot systems with Open Server and UnixWare 7.1.1 on both systems.
telnet from "B" to "A" under Open Server works OK.
telnet from "B" to "A" under UnixWare does not work (as previously noted).

Problem solved:

/etc/default/login had TIMEOUT=5, s/b TIMEOUT=60
