Yes. I have on a NSC box *after* the latest patches were applied. There are several that need to be applied BEFORE you need them, and the native procedure to generate boot diskettes and the special ER tape are somewhat obscure.
If you have a NON-NSC site, using one of the Supertars (Backup Edge, Lone-tar) is far better as they allow you to use a regular bit level verified backup to do the emergency restore.
