Hi All,
Please suggest on the following:
I have a unixware 7.1.1 running on Compaq PL7000 having 2 processors. Well Server has been working fine since months together.
All of a sudden it got hung once ( I had to hard boot the same) , after this whenever it starts up it gives an option to confirm kernel rebuild or press esc to ahead as if some kernel build is scheduled. If I cancel and go ahead it tells me that kernel build will be scheduled during next startup and goes in.Wheras if I let the kernel rebuild , process goes thru fine and server prompts for reboot, upon rebooting it again prompts me for kernel build (Basically in a loop).
I have booted the system and my oracle databse is starting up properly and all users and connectivity/response etc is absolutely ok. I have entered into DCU and confirmed everything seems to be absolutely fine.
I have tried idbuild -B as well as force idbuild -F, it got rebuild ok , and unix kernel is also getting made and copied properly.
What should I do to get away with this kernel build prompts at startup.
I have gone thru all the rc2.d scripts and init sequence I couldn't figure out from where this is being picked up.
I think it is a flag getting set somewhere.
Pls help me to come out of this issue.
O/s version is unixware 7.1.1
Thanks & Regards,
