Crystal 8 is a Windows app, so you will need an abstraction layer between a Unix db and SCR. ODBC is likely the easiest to find, although depending on the Unix and database flavor, you might get better performance from some other method.
I haven't tried Crystal 8 with Unix - but Crystal v5,6,7 with OS/2 and DB/2 worked fine, both with ODBC and proprietary database drivers from IBM. (my point being, it doesn't have to be a pure Windows environment) [sig][/sig]
