Hello Experts,

Has anyone already convert a unix timestamp to a date and time

example of timestamp : 1322128800

This should be someware about 2011/11/23 i think

Wfg,

Filip

This might be wrong +/- some hours, because unix timestamps are related to 1st January 1970 midnight UTC, so the conversion to a local system time needs to adress the time offset to the UTC time zone.

Often this is not adressed in converting a local time to unix timestamp, so both the ammended and the not ammended datetime could be correct.

Bye, Olaf.

Olaf, I was going to mention the point about UTC, but I decided not to confuse the issue. I wanted to be sure the basic principle was right first.

Whether or not it matters depends on Filip's requirements.

Mike
