Does any one know where I can download a good, free Unix simulator for a PC.
I am currently using a product found on cygwin.com

But there are many valid commands, which this simulator does not recognise.
I am sure there must be better ones out there.

Sorry, meant to add that there are several threads dealing with Linux distributions in Forum54

Microsoft offers MS Services for UNIX and it has it's own built in csh, ksh, and perl interpreter. I use it to sync up NIS and Windows accounts and it is a decent product, not to mention free...

Which commands? Maybe those are just not installed.

In addition, When I access the site, I get a menu of the stuff which is installed/not installed, versions etc.

For instance "more" is not installed initially, and you have to download.
