Hello,

I want to run a command or a perl script on Unix from my web page, what does a html code look like?

thanks.

I think the only way to do this would be to write a CGI script.

This could then be executed on a form submission (or possibly loaded as an image src, etc).

Hope this helps,
Dan

Dan is correct. HTML doesn't directly communicate with the server so you'll have to write a CGI script (I suggest PERL since it's part of the installation of most UNIX implementations) and call it through a form tag, link, or even a javascript event.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!
