Unix or NT/2000 for Seagate Desktop

At one time, I thought it was mandated by Seagate Software that the Seagate Info desktop had to run on NT or 2000, but that the db can be oracle etc on Unix.

Has this changed? Someone has mentioned that you can run the desktop on Unix, is this correct?
