I have worked on systems already installed with Solaris so installing and preinstall is my weakness...for example how do i get a list of commmands for the eprom or pre-OS. at the ok prompt on a console how do i do things like check for boot device, modes, etc.

Go docs.sun.com, select Subject Categories tab. Then Select System Administration, Installation, and Solaris 8 Installation. Doing a little research before installation will help make it go more easily for you.

Download the Solaris 8 administration manual volume 1 from It explains some Boot PROM commands..
