Hello,
I am totally new to all this. I have a .bak file of my emails and I presume this is an mbox file (UNIX mail). I need to convert it to mdir to access by Outlook, right?

So, I have downloaded perl and a program called mb2md. Through START > RUN > COMMAND (Dos prompt) I've been trying to run mb2md (a Perl script) by typing "perl mb2md" The response I get is "The getpwuid function is unimplemented at mb2md line 274." I have no idea what this means, and I could really use some expertise from the professionals here. Is there another program or method to use to convert my email archive to usable Outlook files?

Any takers willing to help a struggling newbie?

Thanks!

do you have access to a unix server?

mail -f <nameoffile>

will read if it is a mbox file.

then just copy to your email account in mail spool area being sure the current file is empty.
