I run data dumps to our unix server for reporting purposes. It appears that since this file has reached a certain size the rights on the file changes and I can no longer open the file, copy the file or move the file. I have recreated the file and still the rights change. I am an administrator so should have full access. Our IT person has been looking into this too and we are at a stand still.

VFS is the server.

When in root when I ulimit I get 2079151

I am not a UNIX guru but looking for any advice you can give.

Thanks

On some version of Solaris there is by default a 2 Gig limit in file size... To get around this you can use command: limit filesize unlimited
