Hi there,
I've a universe with DB2 and the other in Oracle. Can I use them both in a report?

Thanks

Hello Legend,

There is an entire topic about linked universes in the BO documentation (designer's manual in pdf).
Apart from actually working with linked universes you can always use 2 or more dataproviders from totally different sources to create a report.
In most cases there are one or more common dimensions which allow you to link them within the report itself.
If you have for instance customer information from DB2 as well as from ORACLE (as I have) and the common dimension is the customernumber , you can create a report with for instance a section on customernumber and show details from both databases within such a section.
If you want to display data from both databases in one table, be sure that all dimensions in such a table are of the linked kind (otherwise BO will create duplicate records in the table).

I suppose you are capable of working with multiple dataproviders and the linking of dimensions in a report, if not then we should dig into this subject a little further.
Linking of universes is best addressed by first digging through the manual to get a general idea of the possibilities. T. Blom
