Universe Not Found Error after Upgrade to XIr3

We have just upgraded to XIr3.1 in our dev environment. At the same time, we have upgraded the databases from 2005 to 2008.

I have created a new connection to a copy of one of the XIr2 Universes which points to our 2008 database. I have run the integrity check over the universe (which picked up lots of issues with some objects to do with Prompt parameter value 7 - I will sort that out at a later date).

When I create a Deski Report using this new Universe and Connection to the 2008 Universe, the report runs fine. I am logged in as Administrator and have Full Access to the Universe etc.

When i log into Infoview to create a Webi document (also as Administrator), I get the following error: Quote:
Universe Not Found. See your Business Objects Administrator. (Error: WIS 00501)

I have checked security in the CMC. This all seems to be fine
I have also deleted, imported, amended and exported the Universe again.

I am wondering if this issue has anything to do with the fact that the Universe Connection is logging in using my own SQL account (not sa or administrator), but my account does have db_owner rights of the database that I am trying to connect to.

Has anyone else come across this issue and have a resolution for it? I can't find anything on the SAP site or here that gives a resolution to the issue.

Many thanks in advance.

Have you checked the access rights on the connection? Did you upgrade the SQL Server client software on the report server? Where is your filestore located? Is it on the same server as the BOE Software, or is it on our network somewhere? Is the SIA running using a network user ID or is it on the default "Local Services" account? In order to have access to the database and other resources on the network, it should be running under a network user ID.

The login you're using shouldn't be an issue, but I would create a new user ID on the database specifically for reporting that has read-only rights to the tables as well as rights to execute any user-defined functions or stored procedures that might be used in the reports.
