I want to implement Universal Security Groups to allow all users within my Active Directory network to access SQL resources housed on one of my Windows NT domain controller.
Can someone please give me some suggestions on how to do this?
I have a few ideas but I am looking for help. I want to make sure that I do it right!
Thank you in advance.

Universal groups can only be implemented when the domain is in Windows 2000 Native mode. So you can't have interaction with NT as a Domain Controller.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Just to add from what Mark stated, I would use Universal Security groups sparingly. You should be able to accomplish this task using a Global Security Group. Universal groups should only be used in multi-domain forrests, so if that is your case then great you have a requirement to implement. An important note is that group memebership in a Universal groups is stored and replicated at the GC level. Too many Universal groups with large number of group memebers makes it possible to degrade AD funcitionality.

Thank you both so very much, you have been very helpful!
The time that you have given is greatly appreciated.

Take Care,
