Hi, Looking for information on the subject PBX. What gender are the connectors on the rear of the PBX for analog station. Amphenol 25p ? If I were to purchase a cable for this system what gender would my cable need to be to connect to it. Also, does the system use use 24 ports or is there a mixture, 8,12,16 and 24. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Usually the entire system is cabled out at installation. It uses 25 pr male amp cables. The station circuit cards are 16 port with some 24 port analog cards available with an extra cable off of the front edge. Those cards were not too popular. Each amp cable covers 1 + 1/2 circuit cards. Each card slot is 16 ports, so a cable covers 24 ports, a slot and a half. The exceptions are the card slots at the end of each module group/PIM. They are 32 ports used for T-1 or PRI cards. Station cards can go there but it is a waste of real estate.

Belevedere.
Thanks for info. Very helpful. They are in the process of swapping out the PBX and we try to use the existing cabling for the analog extensions. There will be a short amphenol cable coming from the new PBX which will connect to the existist cable that went to the old PBX. This will now connect to that cable. We will order female amphenol cables to connect to them. When the mapping of the analog extensions is done we should then be able to match the analog extensions. This is done with BUTT set on each pair on existing block from PBX by calling a digital phone with CID. Thanks again.
