Hello

running Unity 4.02 here and i've been asked to do something for HR that requires me to know where voice messages are kept on the Unity server. Does anyone know? I'm talking about the voice messages that are left for users while they're away. We need a way to get to those messages before they're deleted. I've done searches for wma and wav files on there but i'm not seeing anything..

Thanks for any help guys

This is for Unity 3.1.4, but I'm pretty sure that this hasn't changed up to Unity 4.0.4.

Go to the desktop of your Unity server and run Tools Depot. There should be a tool called "Advanced Settings Tool" - launch this app. Look for an entry called "Change Default location for UnityMTA directory".

This setting will tell you where your messages are delivered to.

Note however that ccmuser above mentions that they are kept in your exchange message store - which is true if your Unity installation is tied to your Microsoft Exchange server.

Basically after being delivered to your UnityMTA message store, they should be delivered to your Exchange server. They are only kept in this directory if your Exchange server is down. Then, they are queued and delievered when Exchange becomes available.

Hope this helps.
