I have a Cisco Unity voice mailbox set up for remote notification to a pager but it does not work. If I change the telephone number to be dialed by the remote notification device to my cell phone, or to my Cisco 7965 on the same system it works fine- the mailbox initiates the remote notification call immediately after a message is left. But when you reset the number to the digital pager nothing happens.
I think this has something to do with the fact that the system being dialed is not a regular voice call but a call to a paging system, in the same way that a modem/fax call is different than a voice call.
To be clear the pager does not get the call at all - it is not a matter of the 'message' to be transmitted to the pager.
If you dial the pager directly it works normally.
Also, I have varied the delay timer from 4 to 10 seconds as regards the delay before transmitting the additional digits.
