I`m looking for options with regards to Unity as the Unit is not the current VM system. I`m aware of Unity only , Unity UM with Notes etc but I need some options on the two. I do not want to go full UM yet but I`m looking for justification for Unity only - any adds-ons to push the Unity only case.

Can you have a Unity UM system with Notes at a central Site for some users but not all - Mixed Mode if there is such a thing

Is there any applications which allow a user to have voice mails to a Web Client without having full UM so the Unity is still stand-alone and not integrated into any UM environment

Blackberry integration- I know Exchange has this via a BES plug in but again can you have the same feature in a stand-alone situation- Users email is currently not exchange

If you have UM, does the admission of a user still sit with the Unity or is it 100% handed over to the email team- user set up, COS, Deletion, Password resits etc

In Unity connection there is a IVR directory - Is this available in full Unity ?

Main differences- pros- cons between Unity and Unity connection

Any click to dial built in ?

many thanks

I can't answer all of your questions, but I can answer some of them. With the newer version, you can have a mixed mode with some mailboxes having voice mail only and others UM. At least this is true with Exchange, but I would assume the same is true with Notes. You just pay more for the UM licenses then the VM only ones. We spent a lot of time setting up a child domain for us so when we migrate from Notes to Exchange Email, we can just add the licenses and get UM for select users.

There's also another licensed feature called Unity Inbox. The user can log into a web site and access their voice mail through the web. They can listen to and reply to messages. This works great VM only mailboxes. Another standard web feature is a web page were users can change their greetings and other mailbox settings.
