How can we change the Music on Hold thats played in Unity. We're getting complaints that it sound to Tech-no.

Kind Regards,

I was not aware Unity provides any MOH. It comes from CallManager.
Where are you getting MOH from Unity??

The MOH is coming from your switch (aka CallManager), not Unity. I presume you are getting this on a "supervised" transfer from a call handler.

We just went through this upgrading our phone system. We had 3 audio source files that was installed with the Callmanager and that Techno one was one of them. The other 2 are James Brown "I feel good" and something else.

To change the music, go to your phone configuration and change the music on hold source to a different file, you may also need to change your DN's as well as your CTI ports. Use the BAT to do this on multiple phones.

You could also upload your own sample/music into your MOH Server (ours is installed on the Publisher Callmanager). I wound up creating a long track using Sony Soundforge that contained about 30 minutes of different music so that there was somewhat of a change and not just the same song playing over and over again. Just go to this site and read up:

Now that I think about it...it probably is from Call Manager and yes this is a supervised transfer from Unity Subsriber.

The thing is though; the Unity call handlers and subscribers in question are all configured to work with the AYAYA PBX not the Call Manager? Hmmmm..

I found it.. you are using the call manager if you are calling in from a call manager phone. I found the Call Manager Unity ports had their own device pool which had the MOH setting still on default (tech-no). I just changed that, reset and wha-la, it worked. Thanks
