Greetings from soggy Seattle,

I just assumed ownership of a Unity VM system so I still in get to know mode. Is there way for a Unity mailbox user to mass delete his messages at one time other than having me delete and rebuild his mailbox? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Not from an Administrative side but from the phone itself:
Go to the users phone; have him/her login to VM.
Follow these prompts:
To listen to old messages press ___
To listen to Deleted messages press ___
To review press ___
To erase press ____
To permanantly delete press ___
To delete only voice messages press __
Messages in the deleted file will be emptied.

However in Cisco Unity my system is set up with New, Saved and Deleted Message folders. If the user is getting a message that the 'mailbox is full' it may first force the user to delete Saved messages and at this point not offer user access to the deleted folder.
After deleting some SAVED messages the storage will REMAIN the same because those have not just moved over to the deleted folder which still counts for alloted storage per user. However if sufficient have been deleted the system will not allow you access to the deleted folder. Next step would be to login again and follow prompts I listed above to delete all the message at once in the deleted folder.
