UNITY mailbox issue

My problem is this.
I have created a subscriber with a directory number.

I search on alias, extension, first or last name and cant find the subscriber. I try to re add the subscriber and I'm told it already exists.

All i need to do is reset the password..

odd, can you search through exchange and find the user? If you can find the user, then rather than deleting/readding the user, you can go to get the bunny killer application and remove the unity-specific attributes. Then try to reimport the user from the SA.

ok heres the scoop...

I got ahold of Cisco TAC.

We dug deep and finally found this DN listed as an alternate extension on a mailbox to a DN located in another facility. Problem solved.

Thanks rtfmdude, I dont believe were integrated with exchange we're not using unified messaging. I mentioned the bunny killer to him and we probably would have taken that route eventually had we been integrated with exchange. All my subscribers had bunnies next to them

Remember, even if you're not doing unified messaging, you're integrated with exchange on-box(not a mail-handling exchange server) for your message store.

Hate that about the alternate extensions! They don't show up in the searches. I probably shoulda mentioned cranking up call viewer in the unity tools depot, then placing a call into that extension and seeing what subscriber the call was sent to. Take it easy.
 
What you just said about call viewer is what we did. Once i saw it go to the same name, I/we knew where to look. I have so much to learn. Thanks Again.
