Unity integation with Exchange

Can anyone advise if there is an easy way to tell if a Unity system is integrated with a corporate exchange mail system (unified messaging) rather than using Exchange on the Unity server?

Check the Unity domain and see if it is the same as the corporate domain.
however if unity is running exchange on the server it is voice mail only.

Do the users get vm in their exchange inbox?
Are the mailbox licenses in unity licenced for unified or voice mail only?

All of the above are indications of voice mail vs unified.
