Across the USA, my company has 5 good size Cisco/Unity sites. They all came up at different times. The problem is that our Portland site came up first in 2002. They recently went through an upgrade on both systems. The Network guy from up there, who is new, says the instructions left by his predecessor, doesn't work anymore for changing the Greeting on a Call Handler. It has him create a greeting on his own Subscriber's Alternate Greeting and save it as a .wav file. Then go to the Call Handler and click on Greetings. Under Source, down arrow and select Paste from file. Select the .wav file you saved, and click on Save. We, on the other hand, came up in late 2004 with 4.0. We set up a Greetings Administrator Call Handler and record CH Greetings by the Extension (optional) listed on the CH. I remoted into his CM/Unity and found out it was setup completely differently than the rest of our company's system. On his Call Management/Call Routing, there are no entrys. I can't even figure out how calls route from Call Manager to the correct Call Handler. The question is, was this the way earlier releases were set up? I started to add a Call Routing entry and Unity started having problems so I stopped. Wadayathink?
