I have a customer that we just upgraded from Unity 4.05 to Unity 5.0. In the old 4.0 system, when the message was played, it announced the CLID of External caller's, so if I called from 234-567-8901, it actually read off like 'New message from two three four.....', similarly where it does for internal callers. I think I have all the appropriate options checked but it isn't doing it in the new system.
Anyone know where the options are for this?

under Subsriber Template:

Before playing each message, play
Sender's information
Message number
Time the message was sent

if you set it under the template then you won't need to do it to each user.

Hope this helps.

Got all them checked. Still doesn't seem to work. The info is there, you can see it in Phone View. We are going to reboot that server in a week, maybe that will kick it in.

Thanks.

it does this for every external call?

Hope this helps.

i placed a call from my cell and it read the number back to me, but placing a call from my home phone (ld) did not.

Hope this helps.

Do you have a caller ID block on your home phone? Would these calls from your cell and home phones come in on different circuits, where one is not set up to deliver caller id?

that is what i am questioning is if the telco isnt handing off the caller id.

Hope this helps.

The only way to know that is if you call them and ask. But if this issue only started after the upgrade it points to settings being incorrect somewhere.

Yes there was an Exchange version upgrade. We went from Exchange 2000 to 2003 by using the COBRAS tool for the migration. From what the customer is telling me it is on every call. The CallerID is there because we can see it in Phone View. Calls come in to CCM on a PRI and none of that has been touched at this point, just Unity.

BTW what does it say now instead of reading the caller ID?
call from unknown caller? Or nothing?
