UNITY CXN 8 Delayed outcall notification?

User has a Notification Device configuration programmed to call an external number immediately whenever a message has been delivered to his mailbox.

The complaint involves a 15 minute delay in receiving the initial notification. We've verified that the MB and Notification device is correctly programmed. We've also verified via CDR logs that the user's complaint is valid, at least insofar as to this one occurrence. (Call came in at 16:15:07 on Oct 26th and the Notification Device was called at 16:30:03, almost exactly 15 minutes later)

We recently changed the schedule on this MB (about 2 weeks ago) to activate a different schedule on Fridays than Mon~Thurs. On Mon~Thurs the schedule is set of 7A~4:30P but on Fridays it is set to 8A~4:00P.

Is there perhaps something we might have overlooked in making this schedule change ACTIVE? (The sched shows to be correctly programmed and applied to the user's MB profile)

What other explanation might there be for outcall notification to be delayed by this much time? I'm thinking it almost has to have something to do with the MB Sched.

By default the retry interval is 15 minutes. Are you sure you dont have the delay interval set? Also, are you dialing the external number directly from Unity or do you have it going to CM and then dialing out? I dont allow external dialing from Unity. For my Notification devices, I create a CTI Route Point that dials the number. Unity dials the extension, which dials the external number.
