Can anyone tell me how to make the greetings for a call handler louder? I have one Call handler that you almost cannot hear.

Sounds like maybe the volume was too low when it was recorded. If you can't record a new message, try saving the message as a wav file and increasing the volume in a wav editor (there are plenty of free ones online). You can then import the louder wav file back into Unity. I do this all the time to clean up the greetings. I can take out excessively long silences to make them short and neat.

That appears to only effect the playback level when listening through the sound card. When the greeting is played through a phone, the slider has no effect (at least on our 4.2 systems).

Try the Cisco Unity tools, under Audio Management Tools, "set Volume" and also look at WaveGain. The Set Volume is what I used for call handlers and interviewers.

I had to use a 3rd party once to increase the MOH since Muzak sent me a cassette of the recording instead of the mp3. but for Callhandlers and interviewers i use Unity tools provided by the server

I forgot about that Unity tool. Basically does the same thing as a wave editor, but will closely match the volume to a standard level. Since I hate pauses (especially for the short name prompts) using a wave edit is really nice. Coming from Octel, that's a great feature. Now if only they can make Unity as stable as Octel! :)
