I've spent the day to my nice new Toshiba. Reports in Fox 6 are using centimetres but Fox 8 is using inches. Could someone remind me how to select the units of measurement please.

Geoff,
I hope I can make a small contribution. You have helped me so many times. I only know VFP 6.0 but I can go to Format-Set Grid Scale and make a choice between pixels and system default. Then it would be according to the system settings.
I hope this helps. I will be my first answer to someone else.

I hope this helps.
Well it did but I don't understand why. The report scale was in inches; I flipped it to pixels and got a scale in pixels; I flipped it back and got centimetres.

This is on a project I took over some time ago and I'd not looked at this report before. I've had a look through the other reports and there's a mixture of units. The older ones are in inches; the ones I'd written are in centimetres. I suppose they all have the units that were default for the PC where they were written and flipping to pixels and back made it Fox look up the default for my machine.

I will be my first answer to someone else.
Well done and thank you.

Interesting link - and you've put me to shame because I should have gone to msdn and done a search before asking here.

I appreciate this forum so much
Me too.

Have a great day/night?
A frosty evening in Birmingham UK thankyou. Nearly time to give in for the night.
